Napier Street ManWho are the services for?

There are a number of schemes managed by the Resettlement Team. The schemes provide accommodation and support for single homeless men and women with a wide range of support needs. Usually service users will have moved on from another scheme such as Spring Street although direct referrals for someone who is homeless, or about to be homeless, can be made to the service. Self referrals are also accepted.

Where are you?

The support staff team is based at 3 Napier Street East, Werneth, Oldham OL8 1TR. They manage a number of small schemes, which meet differing needs.

How do the schemes differ?

There are 9 self-contained flats for young people aged 16 to 25. There is an expectation that service users will be doing education or training courses during their stay. Oldham College is a short walk away.

bullet The Green / Fifield Close - see Map

There are 16 flats in two small blocks. They offer accommodation and support to men and women age 16 to 60.

There are 6 flats in one block. They offer accommodation and support to men and women age 16 to 60

bullet Werneth Hall Road - see Map

There are 4 self-contained bed sit flats in a large house with a staff office and large meeting room. They offer accommodation and support to men and women age 16 to 60

What is the accommodation like?

The accommodation at Werneth Hall Road comprises fully furnished self-contained bed sit flats with a separate laundry room.

All other accommodation is part furnished self-contained flats with carpets, curtains, cookers and fridges provided. Service users are assisted to obtain their own furniture. They are responsible for paying their own utility bills.

When are staff available?

Threshold staff are available during weekdays from 9am to 6pm. A security company employed by Threshold attends if there is a building emergency at other times

A referral form should be downloaded, completed and returned to or faxed to 0161 626 3694. You can make a self referral by contacting the office direct.
