Westbrook is a service for young parents and single women. The service has 20 bed spaces of accommodation managed flexibly to meet indivdual needs over three sites.  Women/single parents with low support needs can access Ambleside and Newton Street directly.

Where are you?

The support staff team is based at Westbrook, 20 Astley Road, Stalybridge, SK15 1NJ - see Map.

What is the accommodation like?

The living accommodation comprises a mix of bedsits and one bedroom self contained units which are all furnished with a basic furniture pack.

The main house also has a staff office, laundry and customer lounge/meeting room.

Ambleside and Newton Street are fully furnished self contained flats.  There is an equipment space at Newton Street.

When are staff available?

Threshold staff are available during the day time from 9.00am and in the evenings, usually until 8.00pm; and during the mornings at weekends. A security firm will attend if there is a building emergency at other times.

Threshold has a link worker identified to work with the teenage parent group.

How can I get in to the service?

A referral form should be completed and returned to or faxed to 0161 338 4244.

All referrals are dealt with on an individual basis.  Offers of accommodation are made based on support needs and availability.
