Threshold Services and Weather Conditions

All of our accommodation based services are covered, and staff will be on site to assist our customers.  For people in their own flats staff will telephone during the day to see how they are.  We will be adding an updated message later today with emergency contacts for tonight and into the weekend.

Despite the poor weather conditions continuing we are pleased to say that we have staff on site in our services as usual.  We have provisions ready for anyone who is unable to get home or needs fuel, food or other assistance.  Your support worker will continue to contact you daily throughout this cold spell but please get in touch if you need help.  Our contact number is available 24 hours.  Threshold customers can use the Freephone number via the phones in our services.  Customers in their own properties can phone the hub on 0161 331 2877/2000.

Emergency Provision

The local authority should be contacted in the first instance for support for rough sleepers and homeless people who will be able to provide information on local cold weather provision. We have also given information below on provision from community groups, we will continue to add and update information as more services are opened and offered.

Greater Manchester

The European Islamic Centre (EIC) based in Oldham have kindly opened their doors for all homeless people/rough sleepers across Greater Manchester with the offer of food and shelter whilst we experience this difficult weather. They have also generously offered to pay taxi fares for homeless persons trying to get to the centre. For further information or to access this service please contact European Islamic Centre on ‭07976 33 3335‬.
