Women's Service BME Event

BME GMWS

Great Moves Women's Services held a BME consultation event on 19th of May. The event welcomed customers past and present to tell their stories of barriers they faced when leaving abusive relationships and their reflections on their stay in our refuge. The feedback will be used to develop a script for a film about a woman's experience pf domestic violence. The script was written in three different languages - English, URdu and Bengali - by Oldham Coliseum who were commissioned by Haydn Roberts, Head of the Community Safety Team at Oldham Council. Once the film is completed it will be available on our website and YouTube as a traning tool and free resource to raise awareness.
