About the Service

The Manchester Shelter is a partnership initiative between the National Zakat Foundation NZF.org.uk and Threshold. It offers faith-sensitive supported housing for Muslim women. The service is aimed at single Muslim women over the age of 16 with low to medium support needs. Customers must be homeless (or at risk of becoming so) and willing and able to accept a package of support.

The Shelter

The Manchester Shelter is a five bedroom shared house located in Greater Manchester and aims to support customers to develop the confidence and skills to allow women to quickly move into independent living.

The support

Threshold support workers work with the customer to develop a personalised support and move on plan, finding ways to tackle obstacles in their lives.

Referrals

The referral form for agencies is available below and we also accept self-referrals from customers wishing to contact us directly.
